| dc.description.abstract | The present study introduces some important research findings in the theoretical study of English syllables. Numerous examples are provided to illustrate the crucial role that the syllable has to play in many phonological processes in English. In addition to theoretical exposition, suggestions are made on how phonological theory may be adapted for teaching English pronunciation in the classroom. | en_US |
