Fresh graduates are during the job adjusting stage and keep looking for a job that is worth enough for their education and other efforts. Stand by the perspective of an employee, this study explored the relationship between supportive work environment (SWE) and job retention of fresh graduates. Furthermore, fresh graduates have a common problem of perceived overqualification which was proved to be a negative variable on job retention except for the condition that employees feel supported by the organization. Thus, this study took perceived overqualification as a moderator to investigate its effect on the work condition of fresh graduates. A questionnaire was developed and employed for data collecting, then the data were analyzed by SPSS statistics software. The results indicated that supportive work environment was significantly related to job retention of fresh graduates. Perceived overqualification was also related to job retention however it would not moderate the relationship between supportive work environment and job retention. In human resource field, this research showed a new perspective when recruiting and retaining fresh graduates.en_US
