臺灣地區國中生自尊與身心症狀研究

Abstract

本研究旨在探討臺灣地區國中生自尊與身心症狀的現況,以及兩者間的關係。以九十七學年度公私立國中學生為母群體,採比率機率抽樣法抽取60班級共1,889名國中生為樣本,並以問卷為工具進行調查,最後得有效問卷1,563份,有效回收率為82.7%。所得資料以單因子變異數分析、皮爾森積差相關和多元迴歸進行分析,重要發現如下: 一、臺灣地區國中生整體自尊、學業自尊、身體自尊及社會自尊皆為中間偏正向。 二、臺灣地區國中生的身心症狀平均得分為37.68分(得分範圍18-72分),顯示偏低。 三、男性之整體自尊、學業自尊及身體自尊高於女性;父母親教育程度大專以上者的整體自尊、學業自尊及社會自尊較高。 四、女性、九年級、父母親教育程度國中以下的臺灣地區國中生身心症狀較多。 五、臺灣地區國中生整體自尊、學業自尊、身體自尊、社會自尊皆與身心症狀呈負相關,顯示自尊愈高,身心症狀愈少。 六、臺灣地區國中生整體自尊、學業自尊、身體自尊、社會自尊能預測身心症狀,解釋變異量為26.3%,且學業自尊與身體自尊為顯著的預測變項。
The purposes of this study were to investigate the self-esteem and psychosomatic symptoms, and assess their relationship. The probability proportionate to size sampling was used to select the subjects from junior high school students in Taiwan. Totally 1,563 provided valid data with response rate 82.7%. Data were analyzed with one- way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation, and multiple regression analysis. The result was summarized as follows: 1.The level of subjects’ general self-esteem, academic self-esteem, physical self-esteem and social self-esteem are above average. 2.The level of subjects’ psychosomatic symptoms is below average. 3.Male has higher level of general self-esteem, academic self-esteem and physical self-esteem. Subjects whose parents with college or higher education level have higher level of general self-esteem, academic self-esteem and social self-esteem. 4.Female, 9th grade students, and those who parents with junior high school or lower education level have higher level of psychosomatic symptoms. 5.The level of general self-esteem, academic self-esteem, physical self-esteem and social self-esteem are negatively related to the level of psychosomatic symptoms. 6.General self-esteem, academic self-esteem, physical self-esteem and social self-esteem could be used to predict the psychosomatic symptoms with the variances of 26.3%.
