The main purpose of this study is to investigate the exercise behavior and the related factors of teachers. The subjects were the public junior high school teachers in Taoyuan. By using a stratified cluster sampling method, 380 respondents (78.8% response rate) were selected as the subjects in the survey. The data were collected with self-administrated questionnaire in 102 schoolyear. After data processing and statistical analysis, the results obtained were as follows: 1.The confidence of the self-efficacy for exercise of the subjects is about 50%.The social support for exercise is high. The perceived benefits of exercise are pretty high. The perceived barriers of exercise are in about middle degree. The perceived exercise enjoyment is over middle degree. The subjects think that when exercising, they feel comfortable, joyful and energetic. 2.Exercise behavior has significant difference in the difference degree because of “gender”, “”perceived health status” and “the experience of join exercise club.” Exercise was positively correlated with ‘The self-efficacy for exercise”, "The social support for exercise”, “The perceived benefits of exercise”, “The perceived exercise enjoyment”. Exercise was negatively correlated with “The perceived barriers of exercise”. 3.The background variables and the social-mental variables can effectively predict the exercise behavior and explain 45.3%of the total variance, including “Gender”, “Exercise experience in the past”, “Self-efficacy for exercise”, and “Perceived exercise enjoyment”. The most significant variable is “self-efficacy for exercise”.
