The purpose of this study was to explore the impact of the predictors of low glycemic intaking behavior predictors of blood sugar control of with type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. The research toolisa questionnaire for knowledge, attitude, behavior and self-efficacy of low glycemic index diets. The received cases are 166 with type 2 Diabetes Mellitus patients for Diabetes Shared Care System of a teaching hospital in Hsinchu. The results show averagecorrect response ratewith knowledge questions of low glycemic index dietswas 67%, attitude tended to be positive, The averagescore of behavior questions was32.2 ± 6.66, aspect the whole grains intaking, need to increase frequency, amount and kinds of whole grains. The important predictor of the behavior with low glycemic index diets were attitudes andself-efficacy, the totalexplainedvariance is 11.3%, career andself-monitoring of blood glucose inthestudycharacteristics were alsopredictivevariables. The fasting glucose of study cases have habits of exercise were better than non-exercise. Patients of HbA1C poor control with duration of Diabetes Mellitus longer, and take drugs irregular. Thus, the attitude recovers forward, and high scores ofself-efficacy, has the work and has carries on the blood sugar monitor, it rises the sugar eating behavior to be good lowly, in addition the regular exercise and take medication, conducives toward favor AC and the HbA1C blood sugar control.
