Abstract: he purpose of this research is to identify the motivational factors for Latin-American workers in Taiwan when choosing this destination country for working and living, and also to explore the cross-cultural adaptation process of Latin-Americans in Taiwan. As an exploratory study, by conducting semi-structured interviews as the qualitative method of collecting data, this research, based on the theories of migration, will explore in deep the motivational factors of Latin-Americans for migrating to Taiwan; and also, based on the adaptation theories, will analyze their adaptation process to the local work and lifestyle. As result, this study will provide a better understanding of the different stages of the decision making and adaptation processes of Latin-Americans when deciding, joining and adapting to the Taiwanese society and work environment for posterior studies and/or implementation of strategies.
