Abstract: 臺灣自2004年推展品德教育至今,借鏡於美國品德教育經驗甚多。自2014年起英國官方也積極推動品格教育,英國在「為什麼」要推動品格教育(涉及品格教育之證成),以及應該教導「哪些」好的品格特質方面,皆有異於美式品德教育之處,呈現出英式品格教育的獨特性。適逢臺灣教育部推動品德教育第三期五年計畫的最後一年,本文旨在藉由評析英式品格教育的新思維與架構,以供臺灣在設想下一波品德或品格教育時重要的參考依據。
Among promotion of character education up to now since 2004, Taiwan has learned a lot from related experience in USA. Relevant type of education has been promoted by UK Government since 2014 and the UK-style character education is quite different from the US-style (moral) one in terms of the “justification” of character education and “which kinds of character traits” shall be taught. The Study hereof was aimed at commenting and analyzing new idea and framework the UK character education for reference of contemplating next wave of morality or character education in Taiwan.
