由於最近針對美國中小學教育情況的調查提出學生的創造思考和批判能力漸差,各州已發展出增進教學品質的計劃:發展學生更高層次的思考技巧。作者提出了一些適合所有學生的充實活動,也探討影響思考技巧教學的障礙,並 指出每一個思考技巧的發展階段和過程,作者為此二者做了明晰的介紹。文中並附一表,描述無限制才能模式的才能領域及教學活動的說明。無限制才能計劃代表一個以班級層次,研究為本的多重研究、確認和推廣、及採用和監督過程等等。文章後並附無限制才能監督指南一圖。
