許多研究調查顯示自閉症學生的學校適應欠佳,主要有學習適應、情緒行為問題和社會互動。作者運用生態系統理論的概念,建議學校為自閉症學生建構一個完整的支持體系,包括:學業課程、教材的調整,普特教師之間的合作,以及建立尊重差異的校園文化等,以提升自閉症學生在學校裡的適應情形。
