許多研究者主張認知衝突對概念改變有積極正面的效果。在國內的文獻當中也可以看見認知衝突教學策略常運用於科學教育當中。然而藉由認知衝突引發學生概念改 變、提高學生思考層次也是資優教育中所高度要求的目標之一,但相關研究卻付之闕如。本文先介紹迷思概念、認知衝突、概念改變的內涵,以及在普通教育中之相 關研究,接著說明資優生特質以及課程挑戰性。資優生喜歡面對困難與挑戰,而認知衝突教學策略強調引起學生的疑惑或矛盾,可使資優生保持高度的學習動機,並 滿足其強烈的求知渴望。能產生認知衝突的概念,通常具有抽象性、複雜性的特質,這也正是資優教育課程中所重視的。文中筆者以自編教材分享認知衝突教學策略 在資優班教學之應用,並提出教學反思及相關建議。
