    運用蓋拉金積分法解非均質物體之彈性力場

    在以往研究非均質物體彈性力場的文獻中,基體大多是無限大的,本文則使用蓋拉金積分法,求解三維有限區域基體,含一個或多個球體、橢圓體雜物之非均質物體之彈性力場。本文所解問題之邊界條件為固定值之應變場,而冗長的數學運算則由數值程式配合 Mathematica 軟體來執行。本文也研究不同相介質的機械性質比,夾雜物之體積分率及長寬比等,對彈性力場整體與局部之影響。 經過詳細的分析,下列兩種效應非常顯著( 1 )在不同介質界面附近的彈性力場, 會因夾雜物存在而受到干擾,( 2 )在不同介質界面間,會有應力集中的現象。

    Opto-mechanical analysis for confocal laser scanning microscopes

    The confocal imaging has become one of the most widely applied microscopic techniques in various fields, such as biotechnology, automation engineering, optical engineering, solid-state physics, metallurgy, integrated circuit inspection, etc. Confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM) is primarily based on the use of apertures in the detection path to provide the acquired three-dimensional images with satisfactory contrast and resolution. The major objective of this paper is to analyze the imaging performance of the confocal microscopes with varying opto-mechanical conditions. In this paper, the working principles of the one- and two-dimensional scanning mechanisms in the microscopic systems are first reviewed and verified by opto-mechanical simulations. Then, for the imaging performance, the tolerance to the fabrication and assembly of the optical components in conventional confocal microscopes is also investigated by simulations. The simulation results indicate the importance of eliminating the effects of stray light in the microscopic systems.

    一種懸空結構的製造方法

    一種懸空結構的製造方法,包含下列步驟:(1)提供一矽基板;(2)定義一圖形於該矽基板上,該圖形則具有一保留區與一蝕刻區;(3)以電化學蝕刻,是對該矽基板通以一電場並輔以一蝕刻液進行蝕刻,其中對該電場施以一第一電流密度,將該蝕刻區下方的矽基板去除,致使該保留區下方即形成一預備懸空結構,則該預備懸空結構具有一底部與該矽基板連接;以及(4)改變該電場的電流密度至一高於該第一電流密度的第二電流密度,藉以去除該底部,而使該預備懸空結構懸空於該矽基板上而成為一懸空結構。

    Internal Model Control of Lightly Damped Systems Subject to Periodic Exogenous Signals

    This paper presents an internal model control (IMC) design for lightly-damped systems subject to periodic exogenous signals. For such systems, the conventional design of the so-called IMC filter in the IMC structure can result in oscillatory behavior even when the closed-loop transfer function is designed to be well damped. To circumvent this problem, several band-pass filters are incorporated into the IMC filter based on knowledge of the frequencies of the plant's resonance modes and exogenous signals. The track-following system of an optical disk drive is employed to illustrate the design of the proposed IMC filter. Experimental results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed design.

    Sliding-Mode Disturbance Observer With Switching-Gain Adaptation and Its Application to Optical Disk Drives

    This paper deals with the design of a sliding-mode disturbance observer (SDOB) with switching-gain adaptation for a class of nonlinear systems subject to exogenous signals. The proposed SDOB, referred to as IMP-SDOB, is based on the internal-model principle and thus achieves robust asymptotic disturbance estimation, whereas the conventional SDOB leads to nonzero estimation error to a time-varying disturbance. Moreover, while the conventional SDOB needs a switching gain greater than the magnitude of an unknown disturbance, the proposed IMP-SDOB design releases this constraint and requires only a small switching gain as compared with a conventional design, further alleviating the chattering problem. The stability of the combined controller-observer system is derived on the basis of a Lyapunov analysis. Moreover, in contrast with the previous switching-gain adaptation law that inevitably yields a nondecreasing switching gain and asymptotic convergence of the switching function, a novel adaptation law is proposed to reduce the switching gain whenever appropriate and to guarantee finite-time convergence of the switching function. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme is demonstrated through experimental studies on the track-following system of an optical disk drive suffering from significant disk runout.

    Sliding-mode repetitive learning control with integral sliding-mode perturbation compensation

    This paper proposes a sliding-mode repetitive learning control (SMRLC) scheme with an integral sliding-mode perturbation observer (ISMPO) for repetitive tracking control tasks. The three control strategies which are synthesized to yield excellent tracking performance are: (1) the pole-placement feedback control to specify the desired error dynamics; (2) ISMPO-based feedback compensation as the robust part; and (3) a feedforward learning component that refines the control to improve system performance through repetitive trials. The ISMPO-based feedback compensation ensures that there is only small tracking error during initial learning trials and enhances system insensitivity to exceptional and aperiodic disturbances. The feedforward learning compensation is updated according to a certain switching signal that is equivalent to the compensation error of the feedforward control, yielding fast convergence of the learning process from trial to trial. Experimental results demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed scheme.

    High-Order Variable-Structure Disturbance Estimators with Applications to Harmonic Drive Systems

    This paper describes the design of a high-order variable-structure disturbance estimator (VSDE) that provides asymptotic estimation of unknown disturbances described by polynomial functions of time with arbitrary degrees. In comparison with conventional VSDEs, the high-order VSDE requires only a small switching gain for ensuring the existence of a sliding mode, thus alleviating the chattering phenomenon. Moreover, the transfer function of a high-order VSDE from an unknown disturbance to its estimate can have a high relative degree to enable the estimation of time derivatives of an unknown disturbance while providing adequate high-frequency attenuation. Two high-order VSDEs were implemented to simultaneously observe the motor-side and the load-side disturbances in a harmonic drive system. Experimental results show that the compensation offered by the high-order VSDEs effectively deals with the disturbances induced by harmonic drive gearing.
