摘 要
生命裡,記憶與時間是存在於不對等的關係,「記憶」是壓縮在生命長流的過程中重要的段落裡!透過追憶的方式建構出圖像。經重新組合後再呈現出新的意象,然後發展出另一種記憶的存在模式,從記憶裏回頭檢視生命中的經驗,將對昔日歷程會有不同的感受,這全部的過程及結果乃是一種「記憶再造」的呈現,而其再造的意義是用真實的生活經驗去創造虛擬狀態的新方式,呈現出一個更能貼近真實記憶的轉換過程。
本創作研究基礎是建構在筆者個人生活的工作經歷,進行創作轉化的歷程。由工作中取得創作題材-國道5號,這不凡的工程、雋永的故事。國道5號高速公路,工程造建耗資新台幣九百多億元,完成後命名為「蔣渭水高速公路」;意義非凡,不但展開了臺灣隧道工程史上的一大紀元,也象徵臺灣工程施工團隊堅毅不拔,勇者的精神指標,更成為筆者創作探索的重要資產。
透過筆者親身參與工程營造的經驗,以記憶再造的創作模式。是越界、跨領域的,甚至是異質雜揉的嘗試,追求一種混搭後破壞形構再重構的創作思維,從解構中建構不同的藝術型態;是非邏輯的圖示組構,甚至是抽象的幾何化或減化,重新賦予藝術語境與創作作品的另一種詮釋觀點和新視角。以異質共存,勇於嘗試實驗技法突破框架,應時代、推腐出新,取其優、巧於藝,精益求菁;新與舊、中與西,併構架接、中西混搭,營造出繪畫之構圖、色彩、肌理等相互架接融合和諧統一之組合。

Abstract In life, memory and time are based on nonequivalent relationships. “Memories” are compressed in the important segments in our lifetime. Through recalling back the memories, images are built. By reassembling those memories, a new construct is presented. Then, another memory existing model is developed, making us to have different feelings about our past experiences when looking back into our past memories. This whole process and result are called the presentation of “Memory Rebuilding”. The meaning of memory rebuilding is that it is a brand-new way to create a virtual status using the real life experiences, and it shows a conversion process closer to real memory. This creation research is based on my personal working experiences, and I found my topic “Freeway No. 5” from the process of the transformation of my creation. As an extraordinary project with tremendous meanings, Freeway No.5 cost more than 9 billion NT dollars to build, and was named “Weishui Chiang Memorial Freeway” afterwards. It not only opened up a new century for Tunnel Engineering in Taiwan, but also symbolized the bravery and perseverance of Taiwan’s construction teams. It has also become an asset of creating and exploring for me. This work is created through my firsthand experience of participating in building the Freeway by the creation model of memory rebuilding. It is an attempt that is cross-border, cross-field, and even blended. It pursues a kind of creation mind that is mixed, destructed and then reconstructed. From the deconstruction, we build different types of art, from logical illustrated fabric to abstract geometrization and reduction, again give art contexts and creative works a new perspective and point of view. With the differentiation and the courage to try experimental techniques, these can break through the traditional framework. Catching up with times, innovating new stuffs, taking the strengths, mixing the old and new ingredients, coexisting the Chinese and western styles, these will help to create the composition, the color, the stripe, and the harmonious of the drawing.
