Due to its low power consumption and high readability, it is widely used in reading devices, e-books, and various screens. However, in typical ambient light, color electronic paper has certain limitations in color performance. To overcome this issue, this study aims to explore how front light technology can enhance the display performance of electronic paper in general lighting conditions.This thesis introduces a comprehensive front light processing solution for electronic paper, involving the following specific steps: measuring the front light combination to construct a seamless front light color space model; selecting the optimal front light based on input images to ensure that the electronic paper color gamut under that front light encompasses the maximum image color gamut; conducting image correction and color gamut mapping optimization based on the chosen front light.The entire system has been implemented and validated, demonstrating effective improvement in the electronic paper display quality.
