李臻儀Li, Jen-I張心玲Chang, Hsin-Ling2023-12-082027-09-212023-12-082022https://etds.lib.ntnu.edu.tw/thesis/detail/c9bb0e54054ffda4b43ab68042c81b74/http://rportal.lib.ntnu.edu.tw/handle/20.500.12235/120579隱喻是一種「借彼喻此」的修辭法,用具體的經驗來說明一個抽象的概念,像是我們所熟知的「人生是一場夢」和「人生是一段旅程」。人生是抽象的概念,但是「夢」和「旅程」就是具體的經驗,而人生的概念就會被後面所用的具體經驗所引導而對人生產生正面或負面的感受。直到喬治.雷可夫教授和馬克.詹森教授在1980年出版《我們賴以生存的隱喻》奠定了認知語言學研究的里程碑,開創隱喻研究的新紀元,啟迪我們重新思考隱喻不僅只是文學的表現,而是影響了我們的思想和行動。這也影響往後40年對隱喻的研究,並拓展到其他語言學的相關領域。本研究以韓國瑜的六場演講辭為分析語料(三場高雄市長選舉演講及三場總統選舉演講),分別比較前後演講辭在隱喻的使用上以何種種類為最多以及是否有因目標聽眾的不同而影響隱喻的使用種類,進而推敲韓國瑜在演講中使用隱喻的目的。本研究隱喻分類的方法以目標域為主,相同的目標域映射不同的來源域會產生不同的隱喻,進而影響聽眾的思維和行動。政治人物運用隱喻影響選民的思維和行動是為了得到支持最後得到選票。本研究的分析結果顯示,韓國瑜在兩種不同的選舉中都偏愛用「擬人」的隱喻,「擬人」是政治人物常用的隱喻種類之一,也很容易用此來創造正面或負面的印象。韓國瑜在三場市長候選人演講辭共用了29個隱喻,其中有近三分之二都屬於擬人的方法,三場總統候選人演講辭共找到了14個隱喻,有近三分之一是屬於擬人的方式。韓國瑜在市長候選人及總統候選人的演講也會因目標聽眾的不同而用不同的隱喻,例如:韓國瑜選高雄市長時,他的隱喻中以高雄為目標域是最多的,達到二分之一以上,而他在選總統時,他的隱喻中以政府為目標域則是最多的,達到三分之一以上。我們並將韓國瑜在選總統時所用的隱喻,和Pavlíková在2021年做的2020年美國總統大選川普候選人與拜登候選人共10場演講辭隱喻的研究結果做比較,也和Lenard and Ćosić在2017年研究克羅埃西亞前總理Ivo Sanader 政治演講所使用的隱喻做比較,雖然同是總統或總理的選舉,但因國家不同文化不同,所用的隱喻也各有不同。關鍵字:隱喻,韓國瑜,政治選舉演講辭A metaphor is a rhetorical device that applies a concrete life experience to illustrate a blurred abstract concept. When Lakoff and Johnson published Metaphors We Live By in 1980, this book marked a milestone in cognitive linguistics. It was not only a pioneer study of metaphors but the idea that metaphors were not exclusively literary performances but were also influencers of our thoughts and actions was also an inspiration to us. This important finding influenced the study of metaphors for next 40 years and has spread to other related fields in linguistics.This study analyzes six speeches of Kuo-Yu Han. He ran for two different kinds of elections within a short period of time. Three speeches are for a mayoral election in Kaohsiung and the other three are for a presidential election. The purposes of this study are to find which kind of metaphor is dominant in Han’s speeches for the two kinds of elections and whether Han’s choice of metaphor is dependent on distinctive target audiences. I also scrutinize why Han used metaphors. The findings of the study show that Han prefers to use personification metaphors. Personification metaphors are the most frequently used metaphors in his three speeches given in Kaohsiung comprising about two-thirds of the total number of metaphors in these three speeches. Personification is also the most frequently used type of metaphor in his three presidential election speeches comprising one-third of the metaphors used. Besides, Han changed the metaphors in his speeches according to his different target audiences. Last but not the least, Pavlíková (2021) and Lenard and Ćosić (2017) also did research on presidents’ or prime ministers’ use of metaphor.
