Each LEEP3 course has four components: a syllabus, an archive, a bulletin board and the live session. Tools used for instruction can be categorized as asynchronous and synchronous. In live sessions, students and teacher are teaching and learning synchronously in a virtual classroom at same time in different places. Synchronous tools include audio transmission, text-chat and slides/web site navigation. Asynchronous tools include electronic mail, web boards and web pages. The implications of online education for future education of library and information science are also discussed.遠距教學線上教學虛擬教室圖書資訊學教育同步與非同步教學Distance educationOnline teaching and learningVirtual classroomLibrary and information science educationSynchronous and asynchronous instructionLEEP3美國LEEP圖書資訊學網路教學Distance Education in the Education of Library and Information Science:An Introduction of LEEP
