This paper investigates the techniques of knowledge organization from four disciplinary viewpoints including artificial intelligence, cognitive psychology, linguistic and library science. At the beginning, the definition of knowledge and its type are described. The concept of knowledge organization is then defined. After that, this paper discusses and compares methods of knowledge organization in these four disciplines. Last, conclusions and suggestions are provided.
