Through the collection and analysis of historical materials, the historical context of the Zong-Hua Stadium was explored. The results of this study are as follows: First, the Zong-Hua Stadium is a unique building in Taipei. Its special cylindrical appearance is avant-garde and innovative. Magazines, comics, and books often use the Zong-Hua Stadium as the protagonist of the cover as it is a landmark basketball hall. Second, the existence of the Zong-Hua Stadium accommodates and promotes sports and allows Taiwan to hold large-scale sports events. It is also a milestone in the professionalization of sports. Third, the Zong-Hua Stadium is a medium with great responsibilities. By holding sports events and im-proving our international status, it can make some breakthroughs amidst the diplomatic dif-ficulties, timely solve the dilemma caused by Taiwan’s loss of its seat at the UN Security Council, and properly eliminate the obstacles of political issues in international exchanges. It allows international sports events to come into Taiwan and enable Taiwanese to see the world. Fourth, the Zong-Hua Stadium is a private venue. It takes a different stand from the government in management and operation. Therefore, due to the problems of both public security and national dignity, it is often in a fuzzy zone between laws. After the disappear-ance of the Zong-Hua Stadium in 1988, sports events and activities suddenly lost their venue, which caused various sports that were originally flourishing to face obstacles to populariza-tion due to the lack of a large-scale venue, which was truly regrettable.亞洲盃林國長瓊斯盃鴻源集團體育館公共安全Asian CupLin Kuo-ChiangJones CupHongyuan GroupPublic security in gymnasia消失的地標─中華體育館的興與衰The Vanishing Landmark: Rise and Fall of the Zong-Hua Stadium
