The comparisons were conducted among include examinees of various identities to understand their support and perception toward this extra point practice. Methods: The subjects were selected from nineth-graders and their parents along with faculties and employees of the schools they attend in Taipei City, Taipei County, and Keelung City. 874 valid questionnaires and nine interviews were conducted for data collection. Statistical analyses on frequency distribution, percentages, and chi-square tests were apllied and any significant differences of chi-square results among examinees were further analyzed by post-hoc analysis. Results: 1. In the 2008 academic year, about one third of normal and vocational high schools administered the incorporation of physical fitness performance results into their admission applications. Six types of awarding schemes ranging from 1 to 20 extra points were observed with various standards among these schools. 2. Students, faculties, and employees of the schools are much more familiar on how to apply for physical fitness certificate than the parents. 3. Students, faculties, and employees of these schools show stronger support for this inclusion of extra point practice than the parents. Conclusions: The data collected in this research show that the administration of subsuming physical fitness performance results for admission applications receives support from approximately one third of normal and vocational high schools in Taipei City, Taipei County, and Keelung City. The results also indicate that this administration is well perceived and received by nineth-graders, faculties, and employees of the schools interviewed. Further work will be directed toward promoting better understanding of incorporation of physical fitness performance results into admission applications to the schools currently not practicing this scheme.體適能多元入學升學檢測成績額外分數Physical fitnessMulti-condition admissionAdvancement to high schoolTest resultsExtra points體適能成績納入高中職申請入學特別條件加分之調查研究A Study on Subsuming Physical Fitness Performance Results for Admission Applications of Normal and Vocational High Schools
