(2015) 曾提出的方向性相容性限制 (Directional Compatibility Constraint),本研究也利用Talmy (2000) 所提出的動力學 (Force Dynamics) 進一步探討動詞隱含的方向性如何影響其與「出」的搭配與語義相容性。期望透過本研究對「V-出」複合詞的探討,為華語語意學研究提供理論深化與實證語料支持。This study focuses on the directional complement chu ‘out’ in Modern Mandarin Chinese, and examines the semantic properties of verbs that co-occur with chu in V-chu compounds and the semantic relations encoded in V-chu compounds. While previous research has discussed the directional and resultative meanings of chu, along with the verb types that can combine with it (Liu 1998, Lin 2001), most studies have centered on chu itself, with limited systematic analysis of how verb meanings and postverbal NP objects (e.g., Source/Goal, Theme, Result) interact with chu. In addition, although studies such as Kuang (2024) and Lin (2001) have applied Image Schema theory to the spatial semantics of chu, the detailed categorization and explanation of Container schema mappings, specifically within the V-chu construction, remain underdeveloped.Based on data from the Corpus of Contemporary Taiwanese Mandarin (COCT), this study adopts collocational frequency analysis and semantic classification methods to analyze 100 high-frequency V-chu compounds and their 2,578 postverbal noun collocates. We investigate how the semantics of verbs and the semantic roles of objects contribute to the meaning of the V-chu construction. The results show that verbs denoting physical motion tend to pair with the directional reading of chu, while non-motion verbs (e.g., creation or cognition verbs) more often co-occur with its resultative use. In terms of image-schematic mappings, different types of Container schemas, such as Subject-as-Container, Object-as-Container, and Implicit-Source-as-Container, account for the diversity of interpretations of the V-chu construction. Furthermore, echoing the Directional Compatibility Constraint proposed by Lin et al. (2015), this study also draws on Talmy’s (2000) Force Dynamics theory to explain how the inherent directionality of verbs influences their compatibility with the directional complement chu.By exploring V-chu compounds, this study may contribute both theoretical insight and corpus-based empirical support to the field of Mandarin semantics.「V-出」方向補語動詞語意語料庫意向圖式動力學華語V-chudirectional complementverb semanticscorpusImage SchemaForce DynamicsMandarin Chinese華語「V-出」複合詞之語意研究A Semantic Study of V-Chu'V-out' Compounds in Mandarin Chinese學術論文
