These facets hold indispensable significance within Taiwanese society. However, with the passing of the first-generation military personnel and their associates, the vibrancy of military dependents' village culture has gradually waned, presenting challenges in preserving its intangible aspects. In light of these circumstances, this study aims to conserve and transmit the military dependents' village culture by examining the historical context, unique cultural attributes, architectural elements, and life experiences of three specific villages: Gan-cheng Village in Nan-tun District, Taichung City, Tai-mao Village, and Matsu Village. Employing a human geography perspective, the research employs spatial analysis to delve into the emotional attachments between individuals and their locales, contextual cultural dimensions, and nostalgic associations. The objective is to reconstruct spatial memory. Through an amalgamation of literature review and in-depth interviews, a nuanced understanding of the military dependents' village culture is achieved. Subsequently, the KJ islanding methodology is implemented to distill interview keywords and discern prevailing themes. This culminates in the creation of illustrative three-dimensional books, a creative endeavor intended to perpetuate the essence of the military dependents' village spirit. Furthermore, the research undertakes an exploration of the utility of illustration and three-dimensional books in the conservation of military dependents' village culture. Theseinnovative media offer a means to present historical ways of life and cultural norms in a tangible three-dimensional format, thereby facilitating the safeguarding and perpetuation of the military dependents' village culture. Ultimately, guided by the objectives of nostalgia and cultural inheritance, this study employs a humanistic paradigm to explore the distinctive local features and cultural fabric of military dependents' villages. This facilitates contemporary and future generations' comprehension of the military dependents' village culture, fostering familiarity with its lifestyle and value systems, and offering novel approaches to its preservation and transmission. Consequently, a broader audience can come to appreciate and internalize the ethos of military dependents' village culture, thereby accomplishing the dual aims of reviving collective memory and ensuring its cultural continuity.眷村文化記憶空間插畫立體書Family Village CultureMemory SpaceIllustrated Pop-up Book插畫立體書中的眷村百態人文主義地理與集體記憶應用Humanistic Geography and Representations of Juan-Cun in Illustrations and Pop-up Booksreport_art
