Initially, one could turn to the definitions offered by the International Council of Museums (ICOM) or seek assistance from ChatGPT to generate a wide range of detailed explanations. Nonetheless, these descriptions only provide a superficial understanding. From my personal perspective, a museum is an experience that is truly realized through active participation and demands a substantial investment of time and effort. This study adopts narrative inquiry as a research approach and methodology, commencing with the story of my journey in managing a local museum. The writing style of this study follows a non-fiction genre, aiming to present genuine events and characters while emphasizing the avoidance of subjectivity and bias. It involves narrating my experiences in various museums, intricately weaving them into the narrative.Narrative inquiry is a writing process that involves the ongoing creation, reflection, interpretation, revision, and reinterpretation. Through this process, it was revealed that my understanding of museums evolved gradually as I encountered various internal conflicts that resulted in external contradictions. As a result, the envisioned image of a museum in my personal ideals no longer aligns with the initial imagined form. Therefore, my perception of museums has undergone a transformation. Through the analysis of narrative inquiry, two key points have emerged. Firstly, the conflict between the inherent nature of museums and their economic value should be addressed by prioritizing and seeking a space for compromise and balance. Secondly, the establishment of a highly coordinated operational team plays a pivotal and central role in ensuring the smooth functioning of a museum. Moreover, my own experiences in museums, which often involved encountering conflicting perspectives, prompted deep introspection and reflection. This process has opened up new opportunities and helped me overcome challenges, leading to the development of a diverse vision for my career in the museum industry. As a result, my range of career options within my own museum journey has expanded. In conclusion, the end of one story marks the beginning of another. The path of museums is incredibly vast, and it is my sincere hope that this dissertation resonates with more museum professionals, fostering connections and inspiring the unfolding of new narratives.博物館敘事探究轉化反思museumnarrative inquirytransformationreflection自我反思性民族誌研究:個人之博物館職場經驗A Self-Reflexive Ethnographic Research of Personal Work Experiences in Museums學術論文
