葉樹涵Yeh, Shu-Han陳威帆Chen, Wei-Fan2019-09-062018-07-282019-09-062016http://etds.lib.ntnu.edu.tw/cgi-bin/gs32/gsweb.cgi?o=dstdcdr&s=id=%22G0099903106%22.&%22.id.&http://rportal.lib.ntnu.edu.tw:80/handle/20.500.12235/108160詹姆士‧邦斯教授(James Barens, b. 1949)之《第三號交響曲》(Third Symphony- "The Tragic", Op. 89),創作動機其實就是很單純的委託創作,在創作過程中遭逢喪女之痛,並在樂曲完成時又迎接家中新生命的到來,這樣極大的情緒起伏讓作曲家在創作此首交響曲內容上多了對於生命來去意義。此曲共四個樂章,其中呈現許多巧妙且細膩的樂曲安排,並且加入了作曲家許多的創意,值得讓學習管樂指揮的我們認識與研究。 本論文先以邦斯教授親筆原始版本對全曲進行分析與研究,透過作曲家的介紹,讓我們更加了解整首交響曲的風格以及意義,並說明此部作品創作背景,以及針對每個樂章做曲式分析;接著,經由指揮技巧與詮釋,逐章逐曲探討樂曲處理方式;最後提供創新的想法。James Barnes was commissioned by U.S Air force band to compose the Third Symphony - "The Tragic". His daughter died when he started to work on the symphony. It was a very difficult time in his personal life. After he completed the piece, a newborn baby came to his family. The drastic emotional changes in the composer’s life reflected on this Third Symphony, where there’s deep meaning and implication about life. Third Symphony is in four movements; the piece contains many ingenious details and creativities from the composer. His worthy for symphonic banddirectors to study in depth. The study analyzes Mr. Barnes’ original composition. With the introduction of the composer, we gain a comprehensive understanding of the style and meaning of the composition. This research paper explains the background the piece and the form and analyze of the piece. The interpretation and conducting skills was discussed in detail movement by movement respectively.
