However, its color gamut is comparatively narrower than that of multi-pigment color e-paper, and the output response curve is generally nonlinear. This leads to difficulties in color and tone reproduction when displaying an image on this new color e-paper. This paper discusses the practical issue of applying the traditional image processing pipeline to this new color e-paper and proposes an alternative approach to address the nonlinear response issue in printed color e-paper.
