He was one of the novelists who possessed the most philosophical ponderings in nineteen sixties. In his poetry, we can find that he creates his own unique mistery by learning through his personal experiences in the real world. This essay researches the connection between his fiction and poetry, and studies the disposition of seclusion and periphery of his poetry style. This essay talks about the following aspects： (1) Fiction Style (2) Edge of the trend (3) Hermit characteristics People have to penetrate his text humbly, and then they can analyze his unique intentionality in many aspects to meet their diverse needs. This essay is composed of five chapters. Chapter 1 and chapter 2 account for Chi Teng- sheng's context location of literary history and offer the researches from the people before me. Chapter 3 states the performance characteristics of his novels according to the fiction styles. Chapter 4 develops the differences and intertextualities between his poems and novels from the poetry styles. Besides, from the creative orientation, chapter 4 describes the seclusion, the periphery disposition, and the space-time background in the writing of his modern background.
