Abstract
從公共圖書館發展的歷史來看,成為民眾終生學習的場所一直是公共圖書館服務 的理念與目標,不過面對資訊時代的終生學習需求,公共圖書館亦需有全新的環境與作法 。本文主要從終生學習的內涵、網路時代的學習型態,探討公共圖書館與終生學習的關係 ,並提出公共圖書館應提供的終生學習活動與資源,以及在網路設備、館藏及人力資源上 必要的調整與配合,供公共圖書館界及終生學習推動者參考。
The main goal of public libraries has always been to be a place for lifelong learning. To meet the needs of lifelong learning in the information age, public libraries must have a brand new service strategies and service environment. From the context of lifelong learining and the style of networked learning, we study the relation between public libraries and lifelong learning and we make suggestions on the following: (1)activities and resources for lifelong learning which public libraries should provide, (2)adjustments and improvements in network, collection and manpower of public libraries.
