An overall response rate of 88% (N=879) was obtained. The statistical analyses were processed using the SPSS-X program, including the following techniques: frequency analysis, analysis of variance, factor analysis, multivariate analysis of variance, t-test, multiple linear regression, and chi-square. The major findings included: 1) A tendency of low participation in leisure activity among clooege students was found in this study. 2) Most students expressed a lack of leisure opportunities during school time. 3) Students were the most likely to participate in activity patterns of Social Recreation, followed by Mass Media/Education, Music/Social, Sports, Outdoor Recreation, Art/Hobby Activity, Games, Youth Culture and Meditation/Religion; 4) Students were more likely to be constrained by structural factors than by intrapersonal or interpersonal ones, when they participated in leisure activities; 5) Gender was significantly related to leisure activity patterns, and leisure constraints.en_US
