|Abstract:||胡適是五四新文化運動期間重要的領導人物,也是個發揚民主與自由的思想家。本 文以探討胡適自由與民主的體育思想為主軸,解析其思想的結構,獲知胡適的體育思想之特質 有二,其一為健身立業的身體意識,視健康的身體為求學立業之根基,其二為勝負共榮的運動 倫理,認為參與運動競賽應積極的求勝,不論勝負均由雙方所共享。 胡適自由民主的體育思想,促進了體育向教育的一環邁進,導正體育為學生的正規活動之觀念, 樹立正確的運動競賽的之倫理風範。|
Hu Shih was an important advocator during May 4th Now Culture Movement. He was also a thinker who had advocated freedom and democracy. This article is to examine Hu Shih's thoughts on physical education and to analyse the structure of his thoughts. There are two special featured about Hu Shih's thoughts on physical education. One is that he regarded a person's own health as the root of his or her pursuit of knowledge and career. The other is that he believed in a sport ethics which suggested competitors should share with one another in the ups and downs in sport competitions. Hu Shih's thoughts on physical education drew physical education more closer to education, presented a correct concept of making physical education a part of students' regular activities, and set up the correct ethics for sport competitions.
