Abstract: 本研究採用質的研究法來評估高峰經驗(peak experience)是否為人們持續參與高空跳傘的影響因素。研究的資料經由訪談取得之後,加以編碼、分析與詮釋,主要的目的在探討與了解高峰經驗與持續參與動機之間的關係。本研究嘗試指出高峰經驗對戶外冒險活動的重要性,以及影響持續參與動機的相關經驗因素。 研究結果顯示: 1.所有本研究受訪者皆表示高空跳傘經驗囊括許多高峰經驗的特質。而且高峰經驗的強度會成為進一步或持續參加高空跳傘的內在動機。 2.本研究發四項不同於高峰經 驗文獻,可能專屬於高空跳傘的高峰經驗特質如下: (1)有持續性的感覺。 (2)期盼重覆的經驗。 (3)高峰經驗是最重要的參與因素。 (4)社會機動的影響次於高峰經驗。
This study used a qualitative approach to determine the relevance of the peak experience as a factor in motivation to continue being involved in skydiving. Data were collected through interviews, then were coded, analyzed and interpreted for the purpose of understanding the relevance between peak experience and continued participation. This research attempted to point out the importance of “peak experience” to outdoor adventure activities and the significance of the experiential component for continued participation. The results of this study were as follows: 1.All respondents in this study described the skydiving experience as one that encapsulated numerous peak experience qualities. The intensity of the experience becomes the intrinsic motivation for further or continued participation. 2.Four codes developed form the data, were in sufficient detail to offer an alternative view of the peak experience, particular in relation to skydiving. The four additional codes were: (1)The feeling had a lasting effect. (2)High expectation of a repeat experience. (3)The experience as the most important participating factor. (4)Socal motivations as secondary to the experience.
