The purpose of this subproject was to apply the environmental values teaching models to infuse environmental values into the newly developed Nine-Year Joint Curriculum. This subproject infused the perspectives of environment of health into one of the seven learning fields of the Nine-Joint Year curriculum, which is health and physical education. In addition, this subproject intended to work with schools' teachers to develop teaching modules for the newly developed curriculum, and to conduct experimental studies. This subproject has been implemented in two years. The results of the subproject were: 1.Environmental values teaching was strongly needed for most of teachers of primary & junior high schools on environmental education. 2.The eight topics of environment were established in accordance with the third level of index of ability in the field of health & physical education. 3.The teaching materials and instruments of the eight topics were finished and have been applied to environmental teaching on the course of health & physical education. 4.There were significant improvements for the experimental group on the environmental knowledge, the concepts of environmental values, the relationship of mankind and environmental ecology, the environmental beliefs, the intention of environmental behaviors. 5.Most of junior high students liked the environmental values teaching.
