Abstract: 戴震(1723-1777)字東原,安徽休寧隆阜人,為乾嘉學術皖派的代表人物。戴震的學問涉獵甚廣,其治學方法主張「由字以通其詞,由詞以通其道」,極深研幾,闡明經義。戴震對於名物度數的精核考訂,尤其以《考工記圖》一篇為時人所推重。戴震作《考工記圖》之目的是為了補足東漢•鄭玄(127-200)注的缺失,他在補注中逐一繪製圖象以作解說,於是古人制作的原意便昭然呈現。而《考工記》是因《周禮》中亡佚〈冬官〉一篇,乃補入之,於是《經》與《記》合為一書而得名。該書對古代社會裡諸多器物的種類、形制、構造、功用等均予以記錄,被視為一部古代工藝技術知識的彙編。對清儒而言,他們研治經學的方向不是從心性理氣作一形上思辨的論述,而是在經驗世界中關懷各種典章制度問題,並藉由考證方法的展開,重新安頓經驗世界的一切秩序。筆者發現自漢代以降的儒者對明堂制度的討論各有見地,聚訟不決,莫衷一是。是故本文擬以戴震《考工記圖》的明堂形制作為討論的中心。分為三個部分作說明:其一是論述《考工記》的明堂形制,其二是說明戴震對明堂形制的考證過程,其三是探討戴震考證明堂形制的意義。本文的論述欲以戴震作為個案研究,探討其研治禮學所運用嚴謹的考證方法,以彰顯出典章制度研究的思想活力。
This paper aims to discuss the concept of “ Ming Tang shape” in Dai Zhen’s Kao gong ji tu. Dai Zhen(1723-1777)is an erudite scholar of Qian Jia School in the Qing Dynasty. In his study methods, one famous view he said is based on the understanding from words which makes man become familiar with the meaning of phrases, and then through explaining the phrases in context makes man aim for the Tao. By this point, Dai Zhen had gained the abundant achievements on the academic study field of the Qian Jia School. One of the well-known articles “Kao gong ji tu ” shows his efforts on studying the decrees and regulations of Three Rites. The main purpose he wrote Kao gong ji tu is to use illustration to proofread and correct the errors in Zheng Xuan ‘s(127-200)text note. In this paper, the author points out the illustration of “ Ming Tang shape” and focus on the three aspects to discuss the thoughts in Dai Zhen’s Kao gong ji tu. It is a significant case study to overview Dai Zhen’s thoughts about how to display his attitude toward the preciseness and vitality in the decrees and regulations of Three Rites.
