In regarding to the rapid development of modem biology and demands of contemporary society, current biology curricular outlines of high school are needed to be including the biotechnology-related knowledge and learning methods of scientific and technical inquiry to enrich the students' exploring scientific interests. This study developed an inquiry teaching module which combined the modem biological technology and exploration of scientists' case study. The established teaching module, the model study of spinocerebellar ataxia, contents to introduce gene transferred cell model and mouse model study of spinocerebellar ataxia in the medical research, meanwhile training students to think logically to solve research problems. After the teaching module has been taught, the courses to achieve exploration objects are better to teach senior high school students than that of junior high school students. When teaching in junior high school students, there is only reached limited inquire objects, however can achieve very high affective object. It was recommended that teaching this module properly when designing questions, group discussions, and teacher' s suitable guidance will make meaningful discussion at extending more wide level.
