In the early Ming dynasty, there was no necessity to relocate the capital, Furthermore, it did not have the reason to transfer the capital to Peking. The movement of the capital from Hanking to Peking san best understood by studing the ruler's selfish motives. Cheng-tsu wanted to dignify has principality and to get the unreplaceable posifion in the Ming history.
