Abstract: 本文以韓國數學家南秉吉之《算學正義》為個案,研究李朝時期的數學家如何轉化傳自中國的數學知識。為此,筆者將針對本書作初步的分析與討論,然後,再據以探討它與中國傳統算書、乃至於明末清初東傳西算之關係,從而試圖刻畫東算家如南秉吉在此一交流過程中所作的轉化。
Using Nam Pyung Gil's (l820-1869) Sanhak Chongyi as my central text, I will examine the transformation by Korean mathematicians of the Chinese mathematics transmitted to Korea from China. Thus I will first analyze the contents of Nam Pyung Gil's text; then I will explore the relationship between its mathematics on the one hand and, on the other, both traditional Chinese mathematics and the Western mathematics transmitted to China beginning from the early seventeenth century. I will finally attempt to characterize in more precise terms the changes or transformations introduced by Nam Pyung Gil.
