Abstract: 本文從一般智能優異的定義及既有鑑定工具的功能,探討資優兒童鑑定觀 察期的必要性。如果是消極的配合鑑定原則與鑑定基準的要求,家長與普通班 教師的推薦充分發揮之下,觀察期的實施不但是畫蛇添足,也增添許多不必要 的困擾;而如果是積極發揮需求評估的功能,觀察期的設計必須審慎的配合學 校資優教育的理念,才能發揮實質的效益。
