Abstract: 本研究結合GPS與行動學習的精神,使學生能運用GPS於生活之中,藉由大地尋寶活動過程裏學習地圖閱讀、經緯度、方位及比例尺等相關知識,讓學生當下即獲得學習的成就感。活動以GPS為行動學習裝置,結合Geocaching,以戶外行動學習的方式,進行教學實驗,與傳統教學方式下的學習成效差異進行分析比較。 本研究採準實驗研究法及問卷調查法,對象為台北市某所高中一年級142位學生,分成2班實驗組及2班對照組。探討高中學生透過大地尋寶活動後,對於全球定位系統的使用態度與學習成效之差異。實驗組為大地尋寶活動之行動學習,對照組為傳統教學。實驗前兩組皆進行學習成就前測測驗,實驗結束後再施以學習成就後測測驗,研究結果發現:1. 行動學習組學生其學習成效優於傳統教學組學生。2. 行動學習組學生在GPS使用態度高於對照組學生。3. 行動學習組學生在性別、資訊素養及是否曾使用過GPS變項,其GPS使用態度上達到顯著差異。4. 行動學習組學生在不同變項下,其學習成效未達顯著差異。 從研究結果可知,透過 Geocaching 活動可以強化學生地圖閱讀、座標系統的學習成效,增進學習效果。且對於 GPS 的使用態度更趨積極、正向,使教學活動更易進行,進而達成教學目標。
This study combines Global Positioning System (GPS) and mobile learning so as to make students achieve the self-fulfillment from reading knowledge about maps, longitude and latitude, direction, and proportional scales. The activity uses the means of GPS as the equipment of mobile learning with Geocaching. The study analyzes learning outcomes in comparison to traditional learning method. The subjects of the study are 142 students in a Taipei senior high school, adopting the methods of quasi-experimental study and questionnaire surveys: two classes for experimental group and two classes for control group. The study discusses the after-use attitude of Geocaching and learning outcomes of senior high school students. The experimental group uses the teaching method of Geocaching while the control group uses traditional learning method. The main findings of this research are as follows: First, students’ learning effectiveness of mobile learning is superior to that of traditional teaching; Second, students’ attitude of employing GPS on mobile learning is better than that of traditional teaching; Third, there are significant differences in gender, information literacy, and using GPS for the students of mobile learning; Fourth, there is no significant difference in students’ learning effectiveness of mobile learning under various variables. Based on the study, students' reading ability and learning effects of coordinate system can be strengthened through Geocaching activity. Moreover, students' attitudes toward using GPS will be more active and positive so that teachers will make students learn more easily.
