The Study on Applying Technology Acceptance Model to Investigate the Factors that Influence Teachers' Acceptance of Intergrating Interactive Whiteboard in Teaching in Junior High School
The purposes of this study were to understand the current status of teachers’ applying interactive whiteboard in teaching and to analyize the factors that influence teachers’ acceptance of integrating interactive whiteboard into teaching. In order to provide useful references for relevant educational units, the research methods used in this study were the in-depth interview, the classroom observation and the focus-group interview. The major findings of this study included as follows： 1. The realistic situations of teachers’intergrating interactive whiteboard in their teaching are as followed. a. A significant percentage of applying interactive whiteboard in teaching appeared on female teachers, teachers of Specail Education and teachers of Arts and Humanities. b. The high acceptance of using interactive whiteboard inclined to those who has already involved in applying technology equitment in teaching. 2. The factors that influenced teachers in intergrating interactive whiteboard into teaching are as followed. a. The technology acceptance model could interpret the factors that influenced teachers’ applications of using interactive whiteboard in teaching. b. To provide with technology experts at school could build up teachers’ intentions toward appling interactive whiteboard in teaching. c. The increase of students’ learning motivation and the improvement of students’concerntration in class promoted teachers’ intentions toward appling interactive whiteboard in teaching. d. The familiarity that teachers manipulate the relevant equitments and understand the relevant software influenced teachers’ intentions on appling interactive whiteboard in teaching. 3. The difficulties of teachers’ applying interactive whiteboard in teaching are as followed. a. The quantity of the equitments and the position of the equitments highly influenced teachers’ intentions on appling interactive whiteboard in teaching. b. The quality of projectors and teaching broadcasting equitments influenced teachers’ intentions on using interactive whiteboard in teaching. c、The convenience of the acquirement of relevant teaching resource could promote teachers’ intentions toward using interactive whiteboard d in teaching.
