Trash Reduction Behavior and Its Related Factors of Junior High School Students in Taipei County�

Abstract: 本研究旨在探討國中學生從事垃圾減量行為及其相關因素,並應用PRECEDE模式為研究架構,以台北縣某國中學生為研究對象。研究方法採問卷調查法,研究工具為自編問卷,以分層叢集抽樣得有效樣本408人,以SPSS for Windows 15.0軟體進行統計分析,其重要結果歸納如下:一、大多數研究對象在從事垃圾減量行為方面皆有正向的表現,其中以「重複利用」的平均值最高,其次為「資源回收」,最低為「意識消費」。二、在素質因素方面,「垃圾減量活動的經驗」、「垃圾減量知識」、「垃圾減量態度」與「從事垃圾減量行為」等均有顯著正相關。但社會人口學變項與從事垃圾減量行為之間則無相關。三、在使能因素方面,「垃圾減量設備之便利性與資源垃圾之衛生」和「從事垃圾減量行為」之間有顯著正相關。四、在增強因素方面,「重要參考對象與大眾媒體之影響」、「垃圾減量獎勵制度」和「從事垃圾減量行為」之間有顯著正相關。五、素質因素中的「垃圾減量活動的經驗」、「垃圾減量態度」及增強因素中的「重要參考對象與大眾媒體的影響」、「垃圾減量獎勵制度」對從事垃圾減量行為有顯著預測力,其總解釋量達27.9%。
The purpose of this study is to survey trash reduction behavior and its related factors of junior high school students in Taipei County. The PRECEDE model was followed in this study. A self-design questionnaire was used in this survey and 408 effective samples were collected. Data was analyzed with SPSS for Windows 15.0 using t-test, One-Way ANCOVA, pearson product-moment correlation, and multiple regression analysis. Five major results are drawn from the questionnaire: 1. Most of the subjects showed positive trash reduction behavior. The score of reuse was the highest, followed by recycling, and conscious consuming. 2. In predisposing factors, the experiences of trash reduction, knowledge of trash reduction, and attitude toward trash reduction were positively correlated with the trash reduction behavior. Demographic variables showed no correlation with trash reduction behavior. 3. In enabling factors, the convenience of trash reduction and the hygiene of recycling resources were positively correlated with trash reduction behavior. 4. In reinforcing factors, subjective norm and medium impacts, rewarding system of reduction were positively correlated with trash reduction behavior. 5. The experience and attitude toward trash reduction in predisposing factors, subjective norm and media impact, and rewarding system of trash reduction in reinforcing factors can predict trash reduction behavior by 27.9%.
