本文旨在以社會學觀點探討臺灣特殊教育研究與實務的發展。本文首先分析臺灣特殊教育發展的歷史脈絡。次之,應用美國社會學家George Ritzer麥當勞化理論的四大原則(效率、可計算性、可預測性、受非人性科技的控制)來說明臺灣特殊教育發展的麥當勞化現象。最後,本文主張臺灣的特教發展不論在做法或研究典範上皆應更加解放,並融合更多元的聲音。
